Test before you invest with Alfa Laval Explorer

Validate separation performance using your own product and operating conditions. The Alfa Laval Explorer Biopharma Trial helps you assess efficiency, product recovery and scalability before making a long-term investment.

Why conduct a trial?

  • Validate separation performance using your actual process stream
  • Assess product recovery and yield improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate scalability prior to commercial implementation
  • Reduce technical and investment risk
  • Generate data to support CAPEX decisions
  • Compare centrifugation against existing filtration or clarification technologies
  • Identify opportunities to improve process economics and downstream efficiency

Meet Alfa Laval Explorer

Alfa Laval Explorer is a premium pilot-scale disc stack centrifuge system mounted on a compact mobile skid. Based on Alfa Laval’s unique bottom-feed design, it minimizes shear and air entrainment, making it suitable for shear-sensitive biological materials. The system can be configured for CHO cell cultures, bacteria, E. coli, yeast and other fermentation broths.
